Cold Microstructure Based Modeling to Predict Mechanical Properties of Cold Sprayed Deposits

Object-Oriented Finite element analysis (OOF2) developed by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is used as a tool to predict the overall mechanical and thermal properties of cold sprayed coatings and deposits.

Multi-scale microstructure from splat to macro-scale coating is used as input to correlate the local (mechanical or thermal) property with the global property.
